1. Identification document
When registering, you will need to upload a scanned copy of your ID. It must be valid at the time of booking and on the day of your IELTS test. Remember that on the test day you must present the same document that you used for registration; otherwise, you will not be able to take your exam or request a refund.
The only valid documents to book an IELTS test are:
Peruvian citizens* |
- Original, machine-readable or biometric passport
- National Identity Card (DNI)
*Under no circumstances will passwords, immigration cards or documents in process be accepted. |
---|
Foreign citizens |
- Original, machine-readable or biometric passport
|
---|
In order for the system to approve your registration, upload your identity document before the deadline; otherwise, your test will be carried over to the next available session and there will be no refund.
How to scan your document?
Scan both sides in colour. If you registered with your passport, you must upload it as an open book, making sure that the image shows the two pages: the one that contains your data and the next one.
If you have problems uploading your identity document to our system according to the specifications described above, send it directly to ieltslat@britishcouncil.org.
2. Payment method
You can pay for your IELTS test through our online registration system by following the steps detailed on the confirmation email. Check with the IELTS test centre where you have registered for alternative payment methods.
You have up to 24 hours to make the payment; otherwise, your application will be cancelled.
Remember that if you register three days before or on the day of registration closing, these periods of time do not apply and we require that you send us the payment immediately.
If you pay with credit card, note that the fee will be charged in US Dollars at the exchange rate of the day of the operation, so your bank will adjust the value according to exchange rates, interbank fees, among others, which are completely unrelated to the value of the test. You may also pay by electronic transfer or bank deposit. This information will be given to you by the system at the time of booking. Remember that if you choose to pay by these means, you must send proof of payment to ieltslat@britishcouncil.org, and this will be subject to confirmation within a period of no more than 24 hours.
