Our work in the museums sector continues this year with a programme in the area of collections management dedicated to the generation of standards for the management of heritage and ethnographic collections in Peru, in collaboration with Collections Trust, a British organisation dedicated to providing technical advice on the management and safeguarding of material heritage around the world.
We present here nine masterclass sessions in which Sarah Brown, Outreach Officer from Collections Trust, will train participants on each of the nine basic Spectrum 5.0 procedures. In these sessions we will also talk about the ways in which each standard and its processes can be adapted to diverse contexts and collections.
Sessions will be held on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. Peru time (UCT -5) and will last from 90 to 120 minutes each. The complete programme comprises 15 hours of training. A certificate of participation will be issued for those who attend and actively participate in all sessions.
We invite professionals from the museum and heritage sector with experience and/or interest in collections management.
